“West Ottawa artist Joanne T. Lauzon made a bold move in 2015 when she traded her 30-year career in digital publication design for what she fondly terms “analog creativity.” This shift meant letting go of structured, clean design guidelines in favour of embracing freedom of expression to create vivid acrylic abstract paintings depicting magic, whimsy, joy, and playfulness. Each piece becomes a playground, layered with texture, collage, marks, and an abundance of unexpected magic. Joanne’s art is an invitation to experience the joyous dance between the planned and the spontaneous, capturing the essence of a creative spirit finally let out to play.
Joanne offers creative play workshops, classes and retreats locally in her home studio in Stittsville, and worldwide from within her online membership community, CAMP.
