Deborah Craven

Wheel Works Pottery

Guest at Studio location #6. 154 Scenic Lane, Woodlawn.

Deborah began studying her art form in the 1970s to 1990s, beginning at Georgan College, The Banff Centre, The Alberta College of Art, Concordia University and McGill University. She focused her works with a “Fiber” sensibility. The tactile quality naturally translated to clay for Deborah and presently she is fondly referred to as the “Clay Slinger”.

Deborah taught visual arts in both the Greater Montreal area and in the Kawartha Lakes. Retired, she has returned to the studio with a full intension to play. She completely immerses herself in experimenting and forming new ideas that express a strong connection to her natural surroundings; an ever-changing colour palette that is present creating one-of-a-kind works of art in clay.
