Red Dragon Studio
Studio Location #2. 112 Kerry Hill Crescent. Dunrobin
Cathy has been watercolour artist for close to 40 years as well as a teacher in the medium. She is primarily self taught, with a few courses at the Ottawa School of Art. She loves sharing her passion for watercolour with others and has a loyal following of students in and around Ottawa and North Frontenac. Many of her students have gone on to be successful artists themselves. As a teacher, she likes to expose her students to all styles – from realism to abstract – but her own style is somewhere in between. She is totally in love with nature and most often finds inspiration there. In addition to watercolour, Cathy has also been a traditional stained glass artist, with her work evolving over time to include glass mosaic and glass garden art. Cathy and her husband winter in Ottawa but spend most of the year at their beautiful cottage on Malcolm Lake in Ardoch, North Frontenac Her studio, Red Dragon Gallery & Gift Shop, which was opened in 2013 on Malcolm Lake, is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream. Cathy’s work can be found in homes across Canada, the US and internationally.
