Yellow House Studio

Wendy is passionate about cyanotype – the art of sun photography – a camera-less technique that harnesses the light of the sun to create stunning blue and white images. In its simplest form, the cyanotype process involves creating a unique print by arranging objects on paper (or other materials) coated with a UV sensitive solution, followed by exposure to the sun’s rays.
Wendy recently became fascinated with monotype – another printmaking technique which, like cyanotype, creates one-of-a-kind images. Her focus is on telling a story using multiple layers of colour, texture and pattern.
Yellow House Studio is aptly named for Wendy’s yellow house, which sits right in the middle of two acres of lawns and gardens, with a little wood behind, in the community of Dunrobin, Ontario.
