Yellow House Studio

Wendy is passionate about the cyanotype process – the art of sun photography – a camera-less technique that harnesses the light of the sun to create stunning blue and white images. In the simplest form, the cyanotype process involves creating a print by arranging objects on specially coated material – like paper – and exposing it to the sun’s rays. Wendy has been pushing the boundaries of this 150-year-old + process of late, introducing colour and other wet elements to create an almost watercolour effect to some of her work.

Yellow House Studio is aptly named for Wendy’s yellow house, which sits right in the middle of a couple of acres of lawn and gardens, with a little wood behind, in the community of Dunrobin, Ontario.
